He spent thirty-one years of his adult life living abroad and had traveled to forty-five countries. Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, he moved to Columbus, Ohio, when he was twelve. He later worked in logistics with Bell Helicopter, the Arabian American Oil Company, DHL International, and Mantech International. He loved traveling, cooking, sailing, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and anything having to do with transportation.
Gene will be greatly missed by his wife of forty-four years, Jean; a daughter, Jennifer Huskinson (Ross) and a son, Peter Cirak (Erika), children of his first wife, Nancy Griffith; a sister, Susan Mason (Carlton); four grandchildren, Josh Massara (Sarah), Jon Massara, Alex Cirak, and Margaux Cirak, two nephews, a niece, and many cousins. He also leaves behind countless friends he made over the years in various parts of the world. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Cirak and Elizabeth Hay Cirak.
