GAYLE SPAINHOUR
February 28, 1970 – April 2, 2026
Gayle Spainhour, beloved daughter, partner, sister, aunt, and friend, tragically passed away on April 2, 2026. She was 56 years old.
Gayle was born on February 28, 1970, and lived a life filled with compassion, strength, and deep love for those around her. She had a beautiful way of making others feel seen, heard, and cared for. Her kindness was effortless, and her presence brought comfort and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving boyfriend and devoted supporter, Sami Dan; her mother, Sandy Covington; her father, Toby Spainhour; her brother, Jonathan Spainhour and his wife, Ashley Kirkman; as well as her cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous dear friends. She is also lovingly remembered by her aunts Maria and Daphne, and uncles David and Josh.
Gayle’s life was centered around the people she loved. She found joy in the simple, meaningful moments—laughter shared with family, quiet conversations, and creating memories that will now be treasured forever. Her strength and unwavering support were pillars in the lives of those closest to her.
Those who knew Gayle will remember her for her gentle spirit, her generous heart, and her ability to bring light into even the darkest moments. Her devotion to music and healthcare. Her absence leaves a profound void, but her love and legacy will live on through all who were touched by her.
Though her time here feels far too short, her impact is everlasting. In every story shared, every memory held close, and every act of kindness inspired by her, Gayle’s spirit continues to shine.
"Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch."
A funeral service and celebration will be held on April 6 at Guilford Memorial at 11 am to honor and celebrate Gayle’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Gayle’s memory to the Humane Society of Forsyth County to honor Gayle's love for animals.
Gayle will be deeply missed and forever loved.
