Gayetta Johnson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 1, 2023, in McComb, Mississippi. She was born on March 9, 1946, to Charlie and Willie Mae Dodds. Gayetta was married to Lee Edward Johnson in 1970 and together they raised nine children: Jonnie, Annette, Jessie, Brenda, Robert, Ronald, John, Gail, and Leevette.

Gayetta attended Dumas High School and graduated in 1967. She worked at Southwest Extended Care until her retirement in 2009. In her free time, Gayetta enjoyed cooking and volunteering with St. Andrew's Mission organization.

Gayetta will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her warm heart, delicious meals, and unwavering love. She leaves behind ten grandchildren who will cherish her memory.

Gayetta passed away from complications of renal failure and heart failure. She will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
