We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Gary Mitchell, who left this world on May 28, 2024, just two days after celebrating his 60th birthday. Born on May 26, 1964, in New York, New York, Gary was a beloved son of Beraldine Bleu.

Gary was a devoted father to his nine children, Sade Carter, Jason Butler (spouse Shahanah Castillo), D’von Joseph, Chondel Mitchell, Gary Mitchell Jr, Ashanti Mitchell, Ayana Mitchell, Savannah Mitchell, and Nialah Bleu Mitchell. He was also a proud grandfather to eighteen grandchildren.

Gary had a lively spirit and a great sense of humor that will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a graduate of Port Richmond High School and went on to be a Pilar in his community.

On May 28, 2024, Gary passed away from a stroke, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
