Garth W. Gilbert1956 - 2015Garth W. Gilbert, 58, of Kenosha, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at his residence.He was born on Dec. 17, 1956, to Bill C. and IlaJean E. (Kraak) Gilbert in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Tremper High School.Garth worked at AMC in the plant until it became Chrysler, then he became a security guard right till the end, retiring after 30 years in 2013.Garth married Susan M. Hagerstrom in July of 2003 in Kenosha.Garth enjoyed bowling three days a week, was a Kenosha Kingfish fan and Cub fan. Garth was very proud of the fact that he was a stockholder of the Green Bay Packers. He volunteered for the Lombardi Golf Classic for cancer for many years, being on a first name basis with Bart Starr. He also loved animals, especially his cats and dogs.Garth is survived by his loving wife Sue, his loving mother IlaJean, his sons Joseph Gilbert of New Mexico, Nicholas (Megan) Will and Jonathan Will both of Menasha, his grandchildren Kasper, John Jr., Jayda and Cheyenne, his sisters-in-law Kathy (Nancy) and Jill (Deanna), his brothers-in-law Gary (Christine) Hagerstrom and Jim Hagerstrom Jr. and his dear friends Peter and Terrie Nierenberger.He was preceded in death by his father, his in-laws James and Theda Hagerstrom and a brother-in-law Mark Hagerstrom.A visitation for Garth will be held on Sunday, Nov. 29, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home.
