A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Gabrielle Katheryn Mercado  left this world unexpectedly, at 17, on November 11th 2019. Born in Chandler, Ariz. on May, 27, 2002 to Ricardo and Monica (Sanchez) Mercado, Sara grew up in Elmwood Park, Illinois, where she attended John Mills Elementary School.

Gabrielle was a lover of the arts and fashion and enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She was funny, outgoing and vivacious, but she was also introverted and introspective. Appropriately self-nicknamed “Panther,” a symbol of power, beauty and grace, she was fiercely loyal to her friends and family. We will always remember her infectious smile, piercing blue eyes and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed.

When you think of Gabrielle, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.

Gabrielle was preceded in death by her grandparents Ron and Sue Mercado. She leaves behind her parents, brother Adrian; sister Bianca and Bianca's husband, James, and their daughter, Eva; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m., Friday, November, 15th at Belmont Funeral Home.
