GOBEL G. Louise G. Louise Gobel, age 83, of Iuka, MS passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka. Louise was born on April 13, 1933, in Cherokee Alabama to Myrtle Lee and Joseph Clyde Stanford. She was married on June 25, 1948 to James Gobel.  After living in Toledo for over 50 years, she moved to Iuka, MS in 1998. In February 2016 she moved to Southern Magnolia Assisted Living in Iuka, MS. She loved reading and also playing cards with her friends Carol, Sara, and Rilla. Louise is survived by her daughter, Rosa (Kerry) Roderick and granddaughter, Kelly Roderick of Toledo. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Noah Gobel, and son, Arthur McNeil Gobel. Family and friends will be received at the David R. Jasin Funeral Home, 5300 Summit St., 126th St., Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Reverend Eric McGlade officiating. Interment following at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a in Louise's name. Thank you to Southern Magnolia staff, as they quickly grew to become family.  As published in The Blade
