ODESSA - G. EUGENE SCHNEIDEROn October 21, 2016, G. Eugene Schneider, 92, passed from this life to Eternity. It was after a long illness.G. Eugene Schneider was born on November 28, 1923 in West Missouri, Missouri. He was a long time member of various masonic organizations and the Eastern Star.G. Eugene Schneider served with distinction in the United States Army in Europe. It was at this time he was wounded in 1945. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Actually, the wound that he received in the latter part of WWII, never really healed. He carried with him a battle scar his entire life.His wife, Mable Schneider, predeceased him in death. His daughter, Jerry Lou Schneider, also predeceased him. His son, Larry Gene Schneider, is a resident of Ruidoso, New Mexico.The funeral will be on October 27, 2016 at the St Andrew Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM conducted by Dr. Jimmy Braswell. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E. Business 20, Odessa, Texas 79762 on October 27, 2016. However, visitation will be held between 3-5 PM at the Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, 601 N. Alleghaney, Odessa, Texas on October 26, 2016. G. Eugene Schneider was a well-known sales person with Vinson Supply during his working years.G. Eugene Schneider was a believer in Jesus Christ as his Savior. He was an active member or St. Andrew Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Odessa, Texas.Funeral services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
