Fredric A. MalmbergOctober 18, 1954 - October 29, 2017YorkFredric Arne Malmberg, 63, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at his home in York. "Dr. Fred" was born on October 18, 1954, in Boyertown, to Lois E. (Summers) and Richard L. Malmberg. He practiced Podiatry in York for over 30 years. In his free time he excelled at a variety of pursuits, including wood carving, and was highly regarded around the world for his fine boomerang craftsmanship. He was an avid table tennis player, and a formidable chess player. He loved his dogs, and could often be found taking a walk, cracking a joke, or combing local auctions in search of a deal. He is survived by his children, whom he loved dearly, Marc Malmberg, of Baltimore, Christopher and wife, Michelle Malmberg, of York, and Holly Malmberg, of York; his brothers, Kurt Malmberg, of Greshville, and Leif Malmberg, of Boyertown; his former wife, Gayle Brinchman; a granddaughter, Vaida Duke, of York; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.A celebration of life event will be held in York, for friends and family to gather and share memories of Dr. Fred.
