Frommgen, Frederick W., Sr. Watertown. Frederick W. Frommgen, Sr., age 84, passed away on Wednesday September 28, 2016. Frederick William Fromgen was born on June 16, 1932 in Milwaukee, the son of William and Anne (Nauertz) Frommgen. On August 28, 1954, he married the former Elaine Fix at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Fred had been a principal for the Milwaukee Public Schools, retiring in 1987. He was then principal for St. Paul's Catholic School in Genesee Depot for several years. Fred was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown. He loved living in the country, his gardening, farming and having his dogs. He enjoyed woodworking, making stain glass and traveling. Fred was an avid Badger's and Packer's Fan and he loved playing cards. Fred is survived by his wife Elaine, their children Chris (Al) Buck, Fritz (Debbie) Frommgen, Erick (Lori) Frommgen and William Frommgen, grandchildren Shadd and Brad Boettcher; Abby Buck; Jessica, Rick and Aaron Fromgen; Josh, Becky, Austin and Kiara Fromgen and Alex, Alli and Easton Fromgen, great grandchildren Donavan, Cianna, Elaina, Brennan and Kieran Boetcher; Harper Fromgen and Mia Huesca. He is also survived by a son in law Paul Zastrow, a brother in law John Bruno, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Fred is preceded in death by a daughter Catherine Zastrow, a son Michael Frommgen, his parents, and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday at 12:00 PM at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Alex Carmel celebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call on Monday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church. Memorials to St. Henry's School, would be appreciated. Online condolences may be left at svfuneralhome.com.
