Frederick Mohr Obituary

Jul 29, 1940 - Jun 25, 2016

This obituary is administered by:
Frederick G. Mohr 1940 - 2016 Frederick G. Mohr, 75, a resident of Kenosha, died Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. Frederick was born on July 29, 1940, in Somers to Jacob and Laura (Strifling) Mohr. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha County. On Feb. 10, 1959, he was united in marriage with Judith Sell in Racine. For 30 years, Frederick was employed by AMC and Chrysler. He retired in 1988 and then owned and operated Mohr Construction until 2009 when it transitioned to his son Mat who still operates it. He was a life long member of Friedens Lutheran Church. Frederick was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved hunting and fishing, and teaching others how to. He spent many hours after work running their restaurant and construction businesses. He liked listening to church hymns and John Denver. When he was younger, he played racquetball and golf quite often. We remember him most for always helping others and giving guidance, even when it was not what we think we needed to hear. He will be missed by many. Frederick is survived by his loving wife Judith, his sons David (Pamela) Mohr, Glenn (Susan Krause) Mohr and Mathew (Stacey) Mohr and his daughter Donna (Earl) Wales, all of whom live locally. He is further survived by his grandchildren Erica (Steve) Rea, Beth (Mark Griffen) Wales, Timothy (Tiffany Starrett) Mohr, Michael (Laura) Mohr Jr., Adam (Katrina) Mohr, Samantha (Brandon Mitchell) Wales, Peter (Heather Hall) Mohr and Max Mohr and by his ten great grandchildren, as well as by his brother Daniel (Gretchen) Mohr, his sister Christine (David) Enter of Oshkosh, his sister-in-law Betty Mohr, and other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Michael in 2009, his grand daughter Nicole Wales, his brother Charles and his three sisters, Anita, Charlotte and Mary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenosha. (5038-19th Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. Casey Family Options Funerals and Cremations Stephen P. Casey, Owner/Funeral Director (262) 653-0667 www.CaseyFamilyOptions.com
