Fred M. Roybal Jr., 71, of Las Vegas passed away at his home on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014. He was born on April 30, 1943, to the late Federico and Pascualita Roybal. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Ernesto Roybal; sister, Juanita Roybal; son, Edward Roybal and granddaughter, Miranda Roybal Weathers.Fred is survived by his daughter, June Trujillo of Las Vegas; two sons, Freddie Roybal and Peter Roybal; sisters, Rosie Gallegos and husband, Joe, Maia Baca, Helen Ortiz and husband, Jimmy, and Corrine Martinez and husband, Erminio; brother, Navor Roybal. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and other relatives.Funeral services for Fred are as follows: Rosary service were held Thursday evening at Nelson Funeral Home; funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. George Salazar at 9 a.m. today (Friday) at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow the mass at San Jose Cemetery.
