Franklin Brownlee passed away on August 7, 2025, in his home in Detroit, Michigan. He was 62 years old.
Born on January 29, 1963, in Detroit, Franklin was the son of Willie and Jeanette Brownlee. He grew up in the bustling city and attended the local schools, graduating from Osborne High School in 1981.
Franklin was a devoted family man. He met the love of his life, Kellie, in college, and they were married in 1989. Together, they raised two children, Brittany and Brandon, who were the center of their lives. Franklin cherished spending time with his family, whether it was watching his kids' sports games, going on family vacations, or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home.
In addition to his immediate family, Franklin had a close-knit group of friends who meant the world to him. He enjoyed playing golf, attending sporting events, and hosting BBQs in his backyard. His infectious laughter and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Franklin is survived by his loving wife, Kellie Brownlee; his children, Brittany and Brandon; his grandchildren, Kyla, Daryn, Dominic, Dashton, and Brandon Jr.; his siblings, Willie Jr., Bernadette, Wendy, and Harold; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Franklin Brownlee lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
