Frank Yturralde, 92, born on May 17, 1924 to Francisco Yturralde and Rubina Bustamante. Yturralde, passed away on October 11, 2016. Born and a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas, he was preceded in death by his wife Genoveva Rodriguez Yturralde. Survived by his sisters, Carmen Melendrez and Elvira Arrambide, sons, Hector (Gloria), Frank (Judy), Raul (Dawn) and daughter, Elsa Apodaca (Israel), eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Frank graduated from Bowie High School in 1943 and Texas Western College in 1951. Retired from El Paso Independent School District 1990 after 40 years as an educator. Frank served in the US Navy and was a WWII veteran serving in the Pacific theater aboard Navy destroyers USS Blue DD-74 and USS Collingsworth PAP-146. He was a life time member of the Tigua VFW Post 8782. Visitation will be on Monday 17, 2016 from 5:00-9:00 PM with Vigil/Rosary service at 7 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina Dr. El Paso, Texas. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday October 18, 2016 at 9:15 AM at San Antonio Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
