Frank "Buck" RamirezOxnard, CABuck was born on September 24, 1955 in Oxnard to Salvador and Eleanor Ramirez. He passed away due to complications from pneumonia on February 10, 2017.Buck participated in Sunset Little League, graduated Hueneme High in 1973, attended Cal Poly Pomona with a focus on forestry, worked offshore and at Camarillo Hospital, eventually worked for and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.He loved camping, fishing, June Lake, grilling and cooking, The Raiders, playing guitar or just listening to great guitar jams, especially Santana; but most of all he loved his family. He enjoyed time spent with his nephews and cuzzies, whether fishing, gambling, kicking back with a movie or sharing one of his great homemade meals. His grandnieces always brought a smile to his face. We will miss that smile and his sense of humor.Buck was preceded in death by his father Salvador and sister-in-law Leslie Ramirez. He leaves behind his mother Eleanor Ramirez, siblings Anne (Britt) Leland, Michael Ramirez and Ralph (Franky) Ramirez, nephews Michael (Jessica) Ramirez, Matthew (Michelle) Ramirez, Ryan McLaughlin Aaron, Christopher and Nicholas Ramirez, niece Jessica Lee Ramirez, grandnieces Serenity, Haven, Laney and Maylee, cousin Lisa Brunelle and our Ramirez and Urias Families.Services for Buck will begin on Thursday, February 16, with a viewing from 5-9pm and a recitation of the Rosary at 7pm at the Reardon Funeral Home, 511 North A st. Oxnard. The mass will be held on Friday, February 17, at 10am at the Mary Star of the Sea Church, 463 W Pleasant Valley Rd, Oxnard, with the burial to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 North H st.
