Frank Perkins, 67Hixson, TN - Former Muncie resident - Frank Perkins, 67, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Hixson, TN.He was born on June 11, 1949 in Muncie the son of Clarence and Mary Frances (Rahe) Perkins, attended St. Lawrence School, where he played fast pitched church league softball for several years (winning the league a few times). He later graduated from Selma High School in 1967.Frank worked for FBG Flori Products for two years in Muncie before moving to Richmond, where he worked for Hills Floral Company and later retired from Hills Floral Company in Chattanooga, TN.His passions were spending time with his family, vacationing at Gulf Shores and listening to easy listening music.Surviving are the love of his life, Becky (Favors) Perkins whom he married in 1974; his daughter, Renee Ray (husband, Joshua); his son, Andrew Perkins (wife, Lori), three grandsons, Drew Perkins, and Lane and Tobias Ray; two step-grandsons, Scott and Spencer, all of Hixson, TN; three sisters, Mary Rhoades (husband, Robby), Parker City, Joann Cargile (husband, Jerry), and Cecily Cooper (husband, Frank), Muncie; two brothers, Jim Perkins (wife, Marty), Muncie and Tony Perkins (wife, Cammy), Muncie; two sisters-in-law, Linda Perkins, Muncie and Kathy Perkins Woodruff, Muncie; an aunt, Theresa Burtner, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Bill Perkins; and his great-nephew, Nicholas Karch.There will be no services.
