It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved mother, FRANCISCA SAENZ, age 81, of Anthony of Friday, October 13, 2017 at Kindred Hospital in El Paso, TX. She was born on June 4, 1936 in Chamberino, NM where she was raised. Francisca relocated to Anthony, NM, where she was a long life resident. Francisca enjoyed her family and friends, along with celebrating life with music and dancing. As a young girl, she sang in the San Luis Rey Catholic Church choir. Francisca knew no strangers and enjoyed learning and traveling. She was optimistic about life and living fully, and always extremely warm and generous and had wise counsel to give. Those left to mourn her passing include her sister, Virginia Mendoza; her daughter, Mary Grace Saenz; two sons, Victor Saenz (Roberta), and Margarito Saenz Jr., all of Anthony, NM. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Victor Saenz, Jr. (Mia), Derek Saenz, Alexia Saenz and Rosalind Marie Saenz; three great grandchildren, Sophia, Eva & Ella Saenz. Francisca was preceded in death by her husband, Margarito Saenz; her two brothers and one sister. Arturo, Alfonso Mendoza and Gloria Lopez. Visitation will begin at 6 PM Friday, October 20, 2017 in St. Anthony Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln Avenue in Anthony where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the same church with Reverend Rafael Castillo officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Anthony Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be her sons, Victor and Margarito Saenz Jr.; grandsons, Victor Jr. and Derek Saenz; nephew, Hector Mendoza and cousin, Ruben Ortega.
