Rogers, 77, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus.He was born on March 19, 1936, in Elmwood Park, Ill., the son of the late Francis and Lucille (Gimberling) Rogers, Sr. Francis was educated in the schools of Elmwood Park, Ill., where he resided before coming to the Kenosha area 24 years ago.On May 6, 1967, he married Rosalie F. Scimone in Elmwood Park, Ill. For 24 years he was self-employed as a builder, specializing in new home construction.Francis served in the United States Army. He enjoyed socializing with people, working on his computer and watching football.Surviving are his wife, Rosalie Rogers of Pleasant Prairie; his three children, Chris Williams of Orlando, Fla., Richard Rogers of Pleasant Prairie and Cheryl Maynard of Naperville, Ill.; two grandchildren; and three sisters.Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, from 5 p.m. until the memorial service at 7 p.m. which will be followed by military honors.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th Street Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Franciss Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com
