Frances "Fran" Peters, 87, of Watseka passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Faith Place in Danforth.  She was born on January 26, 1929 in Thawville, a daughter of Arthur and Elsie Peters Grohler.  Fran married Warren Peters in Thawville on July 24, 1949 and he survives.  Also surviving are one son, Daniel (Jill) Peters of Cincinnati, OH; two daughters, Nancy (Jim) Fritsche of Edmunton, Alberta, Canada and Pam (Doug) Dirks of Watseka; son-in-law, John Hartman of Saulsbury, TN; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and one daughter, Paulia Hartman. Fran was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka and enjoyed cooking and playing cards.  She was a secretary at Watseka High School for many years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka with Rev. Donald Love officiating.  Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.  Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Memorials may be made to Faith Place or Calvary Lutheran Pre-school.
