Frances G. MartinezSan AngeloFrances G. Martinez, 83, of San Angelo, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at her home. She was born on April 16, 1937, in Christoval, Texas, to Francisco and Vicenta Garcia. Frances married the love of her life, Jose A. Martinez, on May 4, 1957, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in which she was very involved in throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Vicenta; her husband, Joe; one grandson, Ricky Jackson; and great-grandson, Rosendo Zapata. She is survived by her children, Noe Martinez and wife Nguyet vu, Roy Martinez and wife Delia, Alma Hernandez, Angela Stone and husband Bruce, and Clara DeLaCerda and husband Armando; her grandchildren, Jason Martinez, Marissa Ynostrosa, Josh Huizar, Daniel Martinez, Jessica Blancas, Anthony Munoz, Vicente Hernandez, Angelia Hernandez, Leslie Smith, Mario Perez, Jonathan Jackson, and Gabriella DeLaCerda; as well as 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Frances was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be dearly missed. A Rosary Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, July 24, in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
