Frances Fidler, 91, of Merced, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Frances was born on June 26, 1925 in El Centro, CA. She married Joseph Fidler on September 5, 1948 in San Diego, CA. Frances enlisted with the U.S Navy as a "Wave" on July 26, 1945 during World War II. She received her teaching credential form San Diego State then went on to teach 3rd grade. Frances spent many years teaching in both private and public school as well as substitute teaching. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Fidler. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Fidler of Atwater; daughter, Millicent Moritz of Santa Clara; son-in-law Steve Moritz; daughter, Sara Crawley of Merced; son-in-law, Tom Crawley; grandson, Blaze Fidler and granddaughter, Tiffany Crawley. Services will be held privately.
