Frances Eileen Sweeney88, from Indianapolis, was welcomed home by Jesus on June 28, 2017. She was the wife of Ralph Sweeney (deceased) with whom she shared 68 years of marriage.Frances was born on December 8, 1928 in Morristown, IN to Merrill and Louise Wicker. She was raised on a farm until her family moved to Indianapolis. She attended Manual High School. Frances is the mother of four children: Larry, Gary (Kathy), Debbie (Tommy) and John (Sandy). She was also blessed with five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. They all loved gardening, sewing and playing games with "Nanny/GiGi". Frances loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Garfield Christian Church.Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1, 10 a.m. - noon, with a celebration of life service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135 in Greenwood.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rod & Staff Ministries, 5800 W.
