Frances Bogdan 1928 - 2016NEW YORK MILLS - Frances Bogdan, 88, of New York Mills, passed away, at her home, on December 9, 2016.She was born on September 6, 1928, in Conemaugh, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Poklodick Sprock. On October 3, 1953, she was united in marriage to Charles M. Bogdan in St. Mary's Church, Rome. Charles passed away on December 11, 2014. Frances was a member of the Sacred Heart - St. Mary's Church and the Polish Community of Utica. She was formerly employed by the N.Y. Telephone Company.She is survived by a sister, Stella McGowan, Rochester; nephews, Edward Sprock and wife, Debbie, Jack Conte and wife, Barbara, Jim and Tom McGowan; a niece, Bonnie Wilson and husband, David; and one brother-in-law, Stanley Bogdan and wife, Josephine. Frances was predeceased by a sister, Gertrude Conte, and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Frank Sprock and Edward Sprock and wife, Marjorie.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Scared Heart - St. Mary's Church, New York Mills. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 284 Main Street, New York Mills. Interment will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
