APPLEGATE, Frances,88, passed away on June 7, 2017. She was born on March 16, 1929 to the late Silas Peyton and Elizabeth Caroline Meyer. Frances received a B.S. from the University of Louisville, was a retired teacher and a member of Beargrass Christian Church.Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James W. Applegate Jr., and her son J. Wesley Applegate, III, DMD.Frances is survived by her son, Keith T. "Ace" Applegate, MD (Lisa); daughter-in-law, Jeanne Krenek Applegate; grandchildren, Leslie MD, Stephen, Carmen, Hadley, Reed, Peyton, Anna; sister, Carol L. Meyer; sister-in-law, Norma Dorhman; nieces, Susan Burress, Marilyn Glanz, Tara Malloy (Tony); and special thanks to very dear friends Patsy and Guy Parks and Paula MainFuneral services will be held at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville, on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
