Florence Idowu Akinkugbe 

It is with great sadness that the family of Florence Idowu Akinkugbe announces her passing after a brief illness, on Tuesday, September 3 at the age of 80 years. Florence will be lovingly remembered by her surviving children, Betty, Tola and Seyi. Florence will also be remembered by her 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. 

Florence was a nurse for over 30 years and during that time she touched many lives through her compassionate and loving nature.

Grandma Florence like she was lovingly called will be greatly missed, especially for the way she lit up a room with her presence and smile. 

A prayer service and celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 6, at 1:00pm, at RCCG Jesus Place, 9522 Smith Ave, Lanham, MD 20706.

Funeral arrangements are currently being planned and will be announced once final details have been decided.
