Florence H. Irish Joifrita, 85, of Erie, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016, at Elmwood Gardens. She was born on December 1, 1930, in North East, Pa., a daughter of the late Raymond and Hattie Vincent Irish. Florence had worked at Elmwood Gardens for 18 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a member of Wayside Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Carmen Joifrita; a brother, Harold Irish; and a sister, Alice Allman. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Joifrita-Cavicchio; her son, Frank Joifrita; brother-in-law, James Allman; and two grandchildren, Anthony C. and Gina M. Cavicchio, all of Erie. Also surviving are two nieces and one nephew. No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
