Here lies Firmina Sydney, who managed to survive high school volleyball matches and college exams, only to fall victim to a particularly aggressive opponent: gun violence.

She was born on June 6, 2000, in Colorado City, Arizona, and quickly made a name for herself as a music enthusiast and volleyball pro. Known for her killer serves and impeccable taste in tunes, Firmina was a force to be reckoned with both on and off the court.

After graduating from Parkview High School in 2018, Firmina continued her studies at the University of Arizona, where she earned her degree in 2022. Despite her academic successes, she always made time for her passions, whether she was belting out ballads or spiking volleyballs.

Unfortunately, Firmina's bright future was cut short on February 16, 2024, by an unexpected and senseless act of violence. Though her time on this earth was brief, her impact on those who knew her will never be forgotten.
