(Bengston)Fern Kourula, resident of Roseview Manor, passed away peacefully at TBRHSC on November 16th, 2016. She was born on July 19th, 1920 in Anstice, Ontario. She worked at the Atlanta, Pangs and the Scandinavian Home Restaurants, then the Salvation Army. Then Mom and Dad owned and operated a store at West Loon Lake. She loved to crochet, macrame, bowling, cards and the casino. Her main interest was her family, whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her husband Waino (1990), mother Theresa, father Walter, sisters Ivy Lindstrom, Palmy Waisanen and Ruby Trelinski. Fern is survived by her son Wayne, grandchildren Craig, Raija (Dino) and Cherie (Craig); great grandchildren Dawson, Elisha, Reid and Adrianna. A private family service will be held at a later date at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
