Harlingen, TX - Felix Castellanos Cortez, 93, went to be with our Lord on Monday, November 21, 2016, in Harlingen, Texas. He was born on March 31, 1923 in Nueva Rosita Coahuila, Mexico to Tomas and Tomasita Castellanos. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Antonia Castellanos Gomez; sisters, Paulita Flores, Maria de Dolores Gutierrez, Maria del Refugio Valdez, and Consuelo Gutierrez; brothers, Romaldo Castellanos, Gregorio Castellanos, Santiago Castellanos, and Luis Castellanos.Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 60 years, Maria de los Angeles Montoya de Castellanos; his children, Juan Castellanos (Rose Marie), Maria Ruth C. Acevedo (Ruben), Felix Castellanos Jr., Tomas Castellanos (Yolanda), and Eleazar Castellanos (Katie); 14 grandchildren, Christopher, Roberto, Mario F., Brenda, Brian, Marisol, Juan R. Jr., Tomas, Carina, Ileana, Diego, Luke, John, and Clarissa; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Maria de Jesus Conteras; and numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m.Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.Honored to serve as pallbearers are Frankie Mario Banda, Brian Banda, Juan R.
