Everett Biddle, Sr.Oak Ridge, TNEverett Lloyd Biddle, Sr., age 90, of Oak Ridge, passed away on September 25, 2016, at his home. Everett was born on February 27, 1926, in Sevierville, to parents, Joe E. Biddle and Reta Huskey Biddle. He was a veteran with the U.S. Army during WWII, serving in the Philippines, Saipan, and Okinawa. A long time Oak Ridger, he moved here from Sevierville 64 years ago. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church and retired from Oak Ridge National Lab in 1992 as an engineering tech, after 42 years of service.He was preceded in death by his brother, J.L. Biddle; and followed by his sister, Mary Lee Biddle. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Ernestine Helton Biddle, Sevierville; sons, Everett Lloyd Biddle, Jr., Newport, Robert Lee Biddle, Loudon; daughter, Sharon Gail Biddle Pappas, Oak Ridge; brothers, Roy Biddle, Oak Ridge, Kenneth Biddle, Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Jon Biddle, Erin Biddle, Christopher Pappas, and Selina Pappas.The family will receive friends at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 1451 Bethel Valley Rd., Oak Ridge, TN 37830, on Thursday, September 29th, from 1:00-2:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM.
