Evelyn Raley, 94, of Las Cruces, died Saturday, February 25, 2017. Evelyn was born on October 4, 1922, in Bushnell, Florida to Victor and Sudie Allen. She graduated from high school in 1940. On June 7, 1943, she married the love of her life, and husband of 55 years, Fred Albert Raley. Evelyn worked at a tax assessor's office while Fred was overseas. She then worked many other jobs before moving with Fred to Las Cruces in 1947. After moving to Las Cruces Evelyn worked for the phone company for 15 years. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Sudie Allen, Brothers; Robert Herman Allen, and Julian Clyde Allen; one nephew Victor Allen.She is survived by her nephew Gary Allen and wife Cindy, of Homassa Springs, Florida; one niece, Gail Zander, of Bryceville, Florida and several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Evelyn will be held at the Getz Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 10am. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery at a later date.
