Evelyn J. Fike, 85, of Springville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Thursday, January 14, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband, Garth E. Fike.She was born on June 15, 1930 in Springville Twp., to the late Stephen F. and Bessie A. (Gregory) Johnson. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Rich and Laurie Roberts, Homosassa, Fla.; two grandchildren and their significant others, Kyle Roberts and fiancé Courtney Grieve, Canton, and Larell and Aaron Paradise, Springville; three great grandchildren, Johnny Ray Roberts, Charlotte and Evelyn Paradise; sister-in-law and her husband, Beatrice and John Chervenitski, Springville; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.She was predeceased by seven brothers, Stephen Jr., Edward Sr., Cleo, Donald, Kenneth, Paul, and Richard Johnson; three sisters, Retha Goff, Euletta Johnson, and Julia Mack. Evelyn was an active member of the Springville United Methodist Church, and very active in her community, helping at the Village Clothes Closet and church dinners and breakfasts at the fire hall. She worked for many years at the Springville Market.Evelyn was full of life, love and laughter; and her laugh was infectious and unique. She absolutely loved dancing. She always said, "I am blessed with family and many wonderful friends;" and it was her great grandchildren that were the true light in her life.Visitations were held Sunday, Jan. 17. A Funeral Service was held Monday, January 18, 2016, both at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, with Rev. Cecily A. Eisley officiating. A dinner followed at the Springville United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Tunkhannock.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Evelyn's name can be made to the Springville United Methodist Church, P.O.
