Evelyn Louise Crouse passed away peacefully in El Paso on September 19, 2017 at the age of 101. She was born in the small town of Lehigh, Iowa on March 4, 1916. Evelyn spent her formative years in Lehigh and married her high school sweetheart, Keith Franklin Crouse, on June 17, 1937. Keith joined the army in 1942.Their first son, Steven Keith Crouse, was born on December 1, 1942. Their second son, Thomas Frederic Crouse, was born on September 3, 1944. After Keith's discharge in 1945, he came down with tuberculosis which he contracted during the war. The family moved to Albuquerque, NM as he spent the next several years in the local VA hospital recovering from his illness. They retired in 1976 in Vista, California. They spent a very active life together and traveled extensively until Keith's death in 1996. Evelyn is survived by one sister, her two sons, four grandsons (Keith, Shawn, Kenneth and Scott) and six great grandchildren. She will be missed.
