EVELYN B. CHAPPELL, age 60, was called home to our Lord and Savior May 12, 2017. She was born on October 30, 1956 in Fort Polk, Louisiana to LTC Ret. IIdefonso and Consuelo Lombraña. As with any military family, she grew up in an array of places in the U.S. and abroad, however her parents originated in El Paso, Texas. She stayed in the El Paso area for most of the remainder of her adult life after graduating from Ysleta High School. She married the love of her life, Charles Chappell on September 24, 1992 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. At one point in her life she experienced being on the road driving an 18-wheeler truck with her husband for both pleasure and team driving. She loved to see new places and traveling to a new or familiar destination any time of the year. She tremendously loved and cared for her family and had such beautiful spirit, her smile would light up a room. She is preceded in death by her father, LTC Ret. IIdefonso Lombraña. She is survived by her husband, "Charly" Chappell, her mother, Consuelo Lombraña, her daughters, Jazmin Lombraña & Angeline Hernandez, her sons Ian Hernandez & Christopher Roberts, her grandson Jaden Byrd and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins & great friends. Visitation will be Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm with a Vigil at 7pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 North Carolina Dr. 598-3332
