Eula Mae Cooper, 84, of Rochester, New York, passed on to be with the Lord on March 01, 2022. Eula Mae was born on April 11, 1937, in Jackson Mississippi. Known for her angelic voice, she loved praising God and helping other young women in her community. Eula, also known as "Sweet",moved from Jackson, MS; in 1950, to Rochester, NY. She married her first love: Oscar F. Cooper, in Rochester in 1950, and had 2 children, Ram and Dell Cooper. Sweet worked for Rochester Products from 1958 to 1965, where she then began a career with Strong Hospital, as a surgical technician working alongside trauma surgeons in the Maternity ward. "Sweet" loved to sing gospel and attended New Bethel Church of Christ. "Sweet" was known for her beautiful singing voice and traveled all over the country with her church choir to perform. Mostly known for her soothing advice to all in despair , she uplifted the young women in her community, and loved to tell stories about her youth experiences of racism, and how she overcame those struggles. She was adamant to never be silenced for what is right. She loved to throw lavish barbeques and fish fry's for her family and friends. She would make everyone feel comfortable, singing and dancing, living and laughing; doing God's will of helping others.
Eula is survived by her sister: Debra Lee, of Jackson, Mississippi, her two brothers Donald Jr and Sem Jones, of Jackson, Mississippi, only living son Ram Christopher Cooper, a host of grandchildren: Brittanie, Nicole, Cierra, Evan and Noel; a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and church family of New Bethel Church of Christ, all of Rochester, NY. She is predeceased by her son Dell Cooper, her parents, Donald Jones and Ella Mae Jones, of Jackson Mississippi.
Eula "Sweet" Cooper will be greatly missed and cherished by her loved ones; family and friends. As "Sweet" would say: "Aint no point in living, if you cant enjoy life with the ones you love most." Sweet, we hear you and will never let your spirit leave Earth in vain. We thank her immensely for the time we got to spend with her and all the love she poured into everyone she made contact with during her earthly visit.
