Eugene “Eric” Vinson 3rd, beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on October 29, 2025, in Clinton, Maryland. He was born on October 14, 1979, in Cheverly Md, to Eugene and Roselyn Vinson. Eldest brother to Timothy Vinson and Dionnah Vicks.
Eric married Kim Marie Ruffin in October of 2002, He was a father of 7 children: Rahgeena Preble, Ra’Shard Littleton, James Vinson, and Timothy Vinson, And by marriage Justin Ruffin, Tiera Brooks, and Derrick Ford. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, Rico, Rhyan, Mathew, Knowledge, Kingsley, Terrell, Azel, Jo’Ziah, Derrick, Trinitee, Serenitee, De’Mari, and De’Khari.His special little nephew Legend Taylor. His Aunts Francis Jerry and Marcia White(Ronald) his special cousin’s, other family and good friends whom he leaves to mourn and loved all so dearly.
Eric was raised in Washington DC and latter moved to Prince George’s County where he attended PG County schools and went on to work for PG County schools, & later Coastal Sunbelt where he made a positive impact in the lives of many.
Eric was a member of the Righteous Church of God where he was baptized by the late Rev Charles Williams. Most recently Along side of his brother, Eric rededicated his life to Christ in September 2025. Eric’s favorite gospel song was” Have You Heard About Jesus”.
One of Eric’s passions was music especially the Motown Era. Oldies but Goodie’s was his pastime. His love for music got him started DJing, which brought joy him and to those around him. He enjoyed watching TV Land where he could watch all his old Tv shows with his love ones. Eric was a young man with an old soul, who loved and never missed a opportunity to eat crabs and soul food with his family and friends. Hanging out with his Family, and his boys meant the world to him. One thing you can say is that family was very important to Eric.
Eric will be remembered for his love for music, kind heart, infectious laughter, and dedication to his family
Eric will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. May he rest in peace.
