Eugene F. CampbellAGE: 83 • Chester, PAEugene F. Campbell "Gene", 83, passed away Sunday, March 5th, 2017 at home with his family by his side. Gene was born on May 5, 1933 in Chester, PA to French and Mary (Maher) Campbell. He was a graduate of Chester High School. He served in the army during the Korean war and was stationed in Germany as a military policeman. He worked many jobs before retiring from B.P. Alaska. Gene was an avid golfer who enjoyed telling jokes and traveling around the United States with his wife Joan. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. In his later years, he enjoyed sitting on his porch and watching the wildlife on the river. He was a member of the American Legion Post #28 in Millsboro Delaware. He is predeceased by his parents and his brother William. He is survived by his wife Joan of over 60 years; a daughter Marie D'Angelo (Charles) of Newark, DE; 2 sons, Brian (Teresa) of Aston, PA; and Eric (Kathy) of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister Marie Parcells of Wilmington, DE, 6 grandchildren, Kevin, Breanna (Scott), Lisha, Brittany, Koral and Skylar and a great granddaughter, Paityn; a sister in-law, Sally; a niece and a nephew Nancy (Vince) and Billy.A visitation will be held at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 2-4PM. A private graveside service for the family will be at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
