Esther Ruth Mohler, 85, Monon, passed away on Dec. 9, 2016, at her home with her loving family by her side.She was born on Aug. 15, 1931, in Monon, to the late L.L. (Dortha Gross) Harvey. She was a 1949 graduate of Monon High School. She was then married to Hollis Mohler on June 25, 1950, at the Monon United Methodist Church.She was a Secretary for the North White School System as well as United Feeds. She was a lifelong member of the Monon United Methodist Church, and was active in the choir. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, watching and feeding birds and squirrels, was an avid pie maker, loved spending time with her grandchildren, and always had a smile for everyone. She is survived by her loving husband, Hollis; children, Eric Mohler and Holly (Dave) Meyer; siblings, Marjorie Barner, Mary Ann Tyler, and Harold Harvey; as well as five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her dog, Liz; and cat, Suzie.She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Richard, and George. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4 – 8 p.m. EST at the Monon United Methodist Church, 501 N. Market Street, Monon. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. EST in the Monon United Methodist Church, with Pastor Russ Alley officiating.Burial will follow in the Bedford Cemetery.
