Esther E. RhyndersHopewell Junction, NY - Esther E. Rhynders, 74 of Hopewell Junction, NY passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness. Esther was born on October 31, 1942 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Edward L. and Margaret Hallock Mulford. She married James B. Rhynders on August 27, 1961 at the New Hackensack Reformed Church, Wappingers Falls, NY and he survives at home. Esther received her AAS and was a certified Dental Assistant and taught at Dutchess Community College. She went back to school and became an LPN and retired from Wingate Nursing Home at Fishkill as a Unit Manager. Esther was very involved in the Literacy Program. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who lived for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.In addition to her husband, Esther is survived by her son, James E. and Ann Marie Rhynders, daughters Justi L. and Donald Darling and Jennifer B. Wilkins all of Poughkeepsie, NY, grandchildren, Lindsey, Tyler, Calvin, James, Justin, Jenna, Casey, Kerrigon, great-granddaughter Leah, brothers Ed and Vera Mulford of Poughkeepsie, NY, William and Sue Mulford of Boiling Springs, SC. as well as several nieces and nephews. Esther was predeceased by her brother Kenny Mulford as well as son-in-law Chett Wilkins.Visitation will be on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:15am at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley, Rd, Poughkeepsie, NY.
