Esther Mann (Burnsticker), born on April 11, 1933, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, in her hometown of Toledo. She was 92 years old.
A lifelong resident of Toledo, Esther’s life spanned nearly a century of change and growth. Through it all, she remained a steady and familiar presence to those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Mann, whose memory she carried with her throughout the years.
Esther is lovingly remembered by her son, Richard Mann; her granddaughters, Heather Mann and Laura Mann; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Her legacy continues through these generations who carry forward the values and memories she helped shape.
Esther found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She had a fondness for playing cards and could often be found enjoying a good game with friends or family. A lover of stories and knowledge, she spent many hours reading books and visiting the library—a place that brought her both comfort and inspiration. Television provided another window to the world for Esther, offering entertainment and connection from the comfort of home. She also enjoyed crocheting, creating pieces that were both beautiful and meaningful.
Her quiet strength and enduring spirit left an impression on all who spent time with her. Whether through a shared story over cards or a handmade gift crafted with care, Esther touched lives in ways both big and small.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire love across generations. A Memorial Service will be held on September 14, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Side Cut park Lamb Center.
