Ester Kline93, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11:45 a.m. at Rosewalk Village. Ester was born on March 1, 1924 in Genoa, Italy to the late Piatro and Antoinett (Ferrari) Bassano.She married Harold Kline in 1946 in Genoa Italy. They were married for 70 years. He preceded her in death in 2007. She was a member of the German & Italian Club of Lafayette, loved to play cards and gamble. Esterbelonged to and was a lifetime member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Mom had always had a great faith. Ester loved her family dearly, and was a great cook. We were fortunate to have her as our mother and grandmother.Surviving are five children, Charles (wife: Karen) Kline of Cummings, GA, Tony (wife: Judy) Kline of Monticello, Robert (partner: Diane) Kline of Lafayette, Theresa (husband: Kevin) Byrd of Dallas, TX, and Gerald (wife: Billie) Kline of Inverness, FL. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.She was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Bassano.Memorial Services will be held on August 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior and Rosary Service at St. Lawrence Church.
