Ernestine (Ernie) Hollis, 71, peacefully departed this earth on July 09, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born to Charles Thompson and Ida Mae Richardson in Quitman, Georgia on December 07, 1950.

She raised 2 children Leslie Stevens (Craig Stevens), Nathan Hollis (Briana Hollis). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren who she adored so much (Antonea, Alexander and Olivia). 

Ernestine graduated from Parker High School in 1968.

Ernestine worked at University of Chicago until she retired in 2003 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people.

She loved crosswords, cooking and her beloved cat Malcolm. We hope she will be reunited with him on the Rainbow Bridge. She was a champion at salsa dancing and had the loudest, funniest laugh. We love her so much and will miss her deeply.
