Ernest Williams Martin, was born to John and Sarah Martin on August 3 1926 in Jennings, Antigua. He met Elswita "Ann" Maria Smith at Christian Mission Church. They later married on June 30, 1955 and he became the stepfather of her three children David (deceased), Roberta, and Roland Sr. Ernest and Elsweeta had six children: Julia, Ruthline, Upshaw (deceased), Rosebelle "Delia" (deceased). Later Brother Martin adopted his granddaughter Esterlyn into his family. Mr. Martin or "Daddy" as he was affectionately called by his loved ones, enjoyed agriculture and caring for his family. He truly loved attending church no matter where he went throughout his travels just to ensure he heard the word of God preached. His love for Christ and his trust in him guided him daily and were the foundation for his unwavering strength and faith. He loved to praise and worship the Lord although in his later years, his signing turned into a tuneful humming. On November 14, 2020, Daddy "fought the good fight", finished his race, and kept the faith".

Ernest Martin is survived by his wife, Elswita "Ann" Maria Smith Martin, and his children. In addition, Ernest Martin leaves to morn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends too numerous to mention.
