Ernest was the son of Robert and Callen Thomas, and grew up in undefined. He was a loyal partner to his beloved wife, Peggy Thomas, and they shared a deep and enduring love. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Corra Collins (spouse Tag Collins), Tammy Jefferson (spouse Shawn Jefferson), and Angela Thomas (spouse Derek Floyd).

Ernest was known for his unwavering dedication to his family, his sharp wit, and his adventurous spirit.
