On September 17, 2017, Erik Stenersonn of Victoria, BC, age 94, passed away. He was the caring husband of Gabrielle Stenersonn, father of Peter and Paul (husband of Vicki), grandfather to Travis, Brittany, Mieke, Jordan and Emily, great grandfather to Anders and Leo. Erik was predeceased by his first wife Ulla in 1993. Erik was born on March 15, 1923 in Oslo, Norway. After graduating as a Mechanical Engineer he moved to Ontario with his Danish bride Ulla in the early 1950's. He had success in his career and eventually retired from the civil service in Ottawa. In 1996 he remarried and moved to Victoria, BC where he lived out his life. The kindness and care that he was provided in his last year at Amica-Douglas House was much appreciated.Erik had requested no service in his memory. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be spread as per his last wishes. Erik was a private man who lived a quiet life. He lived and died on his own terms.
