It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eric Mcelvene, who was born on April 3, 1960, and passed away on May 22, 2025, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States. He was the beloved son of Jerry and Shirley Mcelvene.

Eric was married to his loving spouse Lalita Haywood in 1995, and they were blessed with two children, Ziel and Arena Mcelvene. Eric was a devoted father and husband, always putting his family first.

Eric attended Northrop High School and graduated in 1978. He had a passion for sports and was always cheering on his favorite teams.

Unfortunately, Eric lost his battle with cancer, but he faced his illness with courage and grace. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
