Eric M. Barnes, age 54, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly from a motorcycle accident on Friday , May 24th, 2024. He was a devoted husband, father, and a true patriot.

Throughout his life, he embodied the values of service, perseverance, and unwavering dedication. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Karns where he served as a shepherd. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy for 26 years. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Illinois and was on the cusp of obtaining his master's degree in August. He co-founded the Cumberland Chapter of SSMC-Silent Service Motorcycle Club. He cherished every moment spent in the saddle, the camaraderie with his brothers who served in the Navy.

Though he may have left this world far too soon, Eric's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who cherished him. His legacy of service, perseverance and unconditional love will continue to inspire and uplift future generations.
