Eric Adam Vigil, 34, a resident of Mora, passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque.He was born on Dec. 21, 1980, in Tucson, Ariz., to Barbara Vigil.He was very close to his family and loved his grandfather very much.A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of St. Gertrude Church in Mora.He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Vigil; brother, Joshua Vigil; sister, Baby Juanita Vigil; and grandmother, Frances Vigil.He is survived by his grandfather, Alfonso Vigil of Guadalupita; aunts and uncles, Geraldine Martinez and husband, David, of Mora, Richard Vigil, Violanda Vigil, Henry Vigil, and Louie Vigil, all of Guadalupita, Gene Vigil and Pauline of Rainsville, Herman Vigil and Loretta of Mora, James Vigil of Phoenix, and Cathy Romero of Las Vegas.Rosary Services will be held at 7 p.m. today (Friday) at St. Gertrude Church in Mora. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Gertrude Church with Father Dennis Dolter as celebrant.
