Emilee A. Stahl, age 87, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

She was born on January 20, 1930 in Edmonson County, KY, the daughter of the late Lorin and Inez Sowders Ashley.

She was a former co-owner of Leitchfield Cleaners and EZ Coin Laundry. She was married to her husband, Norman Stahl, for 67 years, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from Kyrock High School in Edmonson County in 1946, as the class valedictorian. She attended Western KY University. She has been a member of Leitchfield First Baptist Church since 1954.

She is survived by her husband, Norman Stahl, of Leitchfield; two sons, Greg Stahl (Charlene), of GA, and Dr. Daniel Stahl (Mary), of FL; daughter, Gloria Whobrey (Ronnie), of Leitchfield; eight grandchildren, Samantha, Courtney, Nathan, Ashlee, Katherine, Rachel, Cole, and Benjamin; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Ashley, and sisters, Carlene Wood, Peggy Ferris, and Jenelda Day.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Dr. Daniel Stahl will be officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Union United Baptist Church Cemetery in Brownsville.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and will also be from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
