Emiliano T. Diaz born in Cavite, Philippines on November 18, 1947 passed away on August 20, 2026. Married to the late Celine Diaz, he is survived by his children Rowena, Gloria, Norinda, Antony, his nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren that he cared deeply for. Emi made sure to keep in contact with all of his loved ones by contacting them everyday.
Emi sought a better life for his family making the selfless decision to leave everything he has ever known to go live in America and join the Navy. Finding home in San Diego, California, he and his wife learned a foreign language and a brand new culture making the best of their circumstances. Not only was he a dedicated and hard worker, but was a supportive and loving father figure to all his children. Even after coming home exhausted from work, he would give his time to his children with their studies. After all the children left the family home and 30 years of dedicated service to the Navy, he moved to Mililani, Hawaii to finally settle down and enjoy his well earned retirement.
His love extended beyond his family and into the new community he found himself in Mililani. Emi was a devout member of the Mililani Baptist Church where he loved to volunteer. Emi and his wife hosted weekly Mahjong and Karaoke nights with members of the church and his fellow neighbors. He was especially known for his signature Lumpia and Pancit that he would serve at gatherings.
Emi’s kindness and love continues to live in the people he touched throughout his long and fulfilling life. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
